ALTHOUGH IVE GOT 3 ADULT BULL CROSSES AND A 7 WEEK OLD PUP,AS A ALLROUNDER AND IM PERSONALLY GOING BOUT FOR A ALLROUND EVENINGS HUNT,I USE MY 3/4 BULL GREYHOUND,AS HE HAS DONE EVERYTHING,BUT IF IM AWAY ON SPECIAL OPS,I USE MY HALF CROSS BITCH,BUT IF ITS A NIGHT TO SHOW MY COLLIE OWNING AND SALUKI CROSS OWNING PALS A LESSON ON DOGS HEART AND BRAINS I USE MY 1/2 WHIPPET,1/4 GREYHOUND 1/4 BULL SON OUT OF MY HALF X BITCH TO CCRACKING WORKING WHIPPET,HOPE THIS HELPS,I NOW AWAIT ALL THE SMART ARSE COMMENTS HOW MY DOGS ARE SHITE,MY PALS EVEN WORSE,BUT FOR FCUKS SAKE WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME GAME,APPERANTLEY SO LETS LEAVE THE CLOWNS IN THE CIRCUS...

5/8ths, on paper, should be the bollox BUT....

 

So for me, the half cross, is and always will be, the daddy.... (mind which half cross you get though!)

3/8 5/8 and 3/4 are very similar and throw back either way can somtimes make it impossible to know which way they are bred to sombody that didnt know the exact breeding. ive a 3/4 bitch and she is racey but the bull is very obvious in her, i know of other 3/8 bred and they threw more to the hound.......

I use bull x near all my life found halfs to slow a 3/8 bull seem to do the job depending on the the dog am running a 3/4 grey 1/8 bull 1/8 collie an for balls brains hes made half an 3/8 bulls look stupid in ever way but av a mate runs a 1/4 bull hes one of the best av seen

I think they are better with a faster dog bred in to them to be honest for me they lack a bit of pace so breed a fast type lurcher to a bullxgh and for me that is an ideal dog but everyone is different

Yeaaa i would of like to put a fast colliex over her or coursing dog something that would of added coat and bit more speed but iv got two young lurchers of which im happy with soo didnt see the point in breeding her just gone let her retire and enjoy he well earned spot by the fire !

bull collie grey is one of the best combinations i have ever known even better with a touch of whippet chucked in

I've had both ,3/8 suits me fine,

But there is fast 1/2 crosses out there,

3/4 no wind ......1/2 when going gets tough wont beat it .................3/8 with coursing blood instead of g/hound best all-round cross for me
