Opium for the Masses..on the Other Hand ..Middle & upper class Kids are Educated in KEEPING the Status Quo ..and their place in society.. Blair gave the Impression working kids would go to Uni .and change their Peers lot !.instead it let a few of our Brightest get Sucked into THEIR system.. also Keeping the Status Quo ,wilst Thinking they would change the World ! all we got was More Libereral / lets all F**K each other & be Trendy (middle class Morality ) and Vegetarians . Until W/class kids get Educated in good old Fashion virtues..like looking after their Peers and the Broader Society we're F**d.. It starts in the HOME..not in the La La Land of Liberal Teachers..and the Implication of their" Wet "ideas.

I dont know the figures off hand but would guess the EU costs us nearly as much as supporting all these immigrants. they're not going to save this country imo,but they would allow a culture to develop where more nationalist parties could at least have a fighting chance.

sandymere 8,263
I agree we need a change in the politics of this country but jumping out of the frying pan into the fire isn't the answer. Has anyone thought what a free market would mean to jobs, wages in Britain? Us against the world eh! Has anyone thought what would happen to business that have already or are considering setting up factories to trade within Europe, like most of the car firms now based in Britain. Immigration is a tiny aspect of the politics of this country yet its leading the augment, I personally find that worrying. Scottish independence, UKIP the same thing on a slightly different scale, one issue without an answer to the real issues facing us in an ever increasingly global world market place.. Frann 882
UKIP are second behind Labour now according to LBC poll. More callers were getting behind them.

We're full now, foreigners coming here breeding like rats is of much greater concern to me for my childrens generation than how much money we can throw at our massively inefficient institutions like the Military and NHS.
Born Hunter 17,763
Sandy, you raise the same points I have raised with myself. I don't know the answers and I suspect that Brexit (as it is being termed) quite possibly will have a negative effect on business and consequently the economy. I'm no economist so not able to argue on that. However, immigration is a big issue to many for a good reason, the Britain we love is deteriorating largely through immigration. We want democracy and we want total sovereignty, if initially that means we have to sort our shit out and suffer a bit of pain while doing it then so be it. I also happen to like the libertarian philosophy.

Born Hunter 17,763
If we're going to bring the military into this, last I read UKIPs stance was to increase our military, particularly Army personel and Naval assets.
