Should people who come on and make there 1st or all of there posts about selling various dog be booted off..........my opinion is that peddlers belong in the small ads of the local rag and kC magazines!

Intersting, personally I hate the idea of people joining JUST to peddle pups and reach their "target" audience, especially first posts. Shouldn't a forum be driven and made by its members? Good debate on various threads makes a forum and people whos sole ambition is to add nothing and make some coin should be given short thrift IMO.

Im monitoring the situation chaps. This site is not for peddling and anyone that obviously joins to sell pups/dogs will be deleted. The site is for people to discuss matter not to make money.....Cheers JD

I'm with Netman on this one. But, saying that; How many Posts? 100 should be minumum, surely? Shows they're actually on their way to becoming Active members of the forum.

And, again, by " Posts " I mean saying something. Any retard can fast knock up a Ton by dint of simply popping up, " Nice Dog, mate. How's he bred? ", " Welcome. " and " :clapper::thumbs::D " every time anyone opens their mouths.

More work for the Moddies? I suppose so. But is being a Moddie a Duty and a job of work, or is it just an old school tie?

As has been suggested above; Free ad's belong in the 'Free Ad's'. F*ck the Spammers and Free Loaders.

My opinion, anyway.

I beleive that compromise is the key to resolving all problems so one way that might work would be to just have a WANTED section where people looking for a pup/gun/net/jeep/spade etc etc can advertise stating what they are looking for, and then people who see the advertisement can reply via Pm you can even make it so that people can start topics in the section but no one can reply to them, forcing them to use the pm system. I think it could work well :thumbs:

I say f**k off the Classifieds and force people to conduct business through PM.

How can you ever advertise something through PM :hmm:

I hate peddlers as much as the next man and it does piss ya off a little when someone joins just to sell pups, but to get rid off the classifieds is just being silly IMO

Not on about members who have been around a while........we all may have seen posts about there dogs, contributed for a while etc.........but for those who are just blatantly using the place as a free ad to sell whatever breed takes the fancy that week..............Bon Voyage IMHO

WELL SAID WILF ,

IF YOU LADS HAVE A LOOK THROUGH THE ADDS SECTION ........ ITS SURPRIZEING HOW MANY TIMES THE SAME NAMES APPEAR WITH LOTS OF ADULT DOGS FOR SALE ......... TO ME THIS SHOWS WHAT KIND OF DOG KEEPERS THESE FELLAS ARE !!

I use a forum which caters for a particular make of car........members cannot even use the " for sale " section unless they have made 50 posts on the forum....ie..been a contributing member of the board....not a bad idea in my opinion.
