Chicks still seem to be doing this snezz sort of thing ......it's kind of getting me a bit worried but they only do it when outside.....I have had chicks befor but not incubator hatched so as they were with the hen I didn't have to pay as much attention to them as I've had to with bator hatched chicks so it could be normal and I'm just worrying for nothing .....when chicks are out scratitng around for the first couple of times is it normal for them to make this sneezing thing..???????

Ps I'll try explain what the sneez is like

the sneez is more like they have blocked nostrils and blow out there nostrils to clear it..

As the do it they shake ther head once as tho there trying to blow out there nostril to flick something out.

As I said this might be normal and I'm worrying for nothing and could be making my self look a right fool but I'd prefer be safe than sorry .

They can get from any wild birds its bacterial so treatment isnt a proper cure but antibiotics are whats used.

The snicking that your describing now may develop over the next two three weeks to swollen eyes lack of feed conversion leading to wasting. I was a keeper for years its very common in gamebirds as well as poultry.

If your sure they have coryza kill them disinfect every where, any where they sneezed is now infected but it will die after a few days, did the chicks come into contact with older birds at any stage, even if you had an older bird that was recovered before you got him or her it would still be a carrier and you could infect the chicks by just doing your daily work with them, also you can take a chick from the brooder now put your index finger in its mouth aply a bit of pressure to the roof of its mouth and with your tumb squeez the nostrill if they have coryza it will start to come out.
