Stabs 3
I am not a fan of the current position. I thought Newcastle would get relegated this season....went on record with it. I was pleasantly surprised with the first half of the reason....results wise...but then they flog Cabaye, which I agreed with after his Arsenal carry on, but last day of the season....again?!?! And no investment in the team....again?! Clueless without Remy up front. No ambition. A manager that has a ridiculously long contract, who nuts a player....perfect excuse to tear up that contract. He is a yes man to Ashley. Hughton got sacked from Norwich for a recent record that has been better that Pardew's. I think Pard's has got some nous...but he deserved to have the reciprocal backing that he gives Ashley. I think that if he was unshackled and giving backing and funding then he might be okay, but he's dancing to someone else's tune and he's getting nowt back. Add to that his questionable judgement.....but who would you replace him with?

gnasher16 30,380
I like Pardew he done alright for my little mob got us promotion,a top ten premier league finish and an Fa Cup final......but im not sure he,s the right man for a club the size of Newcastle i always thought a long contract like that was a strange move for both parties.........it would be interesting to see Newcastle just one time get a big name manager and just throw caution to the wind player wise.......they certainly have everything in place to be a major force in the English game. It was a Scouser had me with that one, but we were mates so he got away with it !!LOL!!
