what injections should i get as im taking the terrier ratting hes due for his lepto jab in a couple of months

If he is up to date with his lepto then he should be fine :good:

Some people dont get the lepto for terriers after they have been ratting regular. The inj only covers a few of the many strains and the terriers should build up enough immunity from regular contact.

There are no other injections needed, take some antiseptic wipes for your hands though, helps to prevent you putting dirty hands on the steering wheel, dogs lead etc. Keep dog away from young children for a while afterwards. And NEVER pick a rat up by its tail.

I cant see disposable gloves lasting very long, i dont know where you will be ratting but the hay bales fair slice through my skin never mind thin rubber gloves  . We move piles of wood, bales of hay, farm machinery, allsorts of stuff that gloves wont last a minute with. Pick them up by the scruff of the neck, their tails trail through their wee, which contains the lepto.
