Very Impressed With Deben Lithium 8Ah Battery

Recommended Posts

I had been wanting to get a Deben Lithium battery for quite some

time, but what with money being a bit tight as it is for a lot of us i eventually

got myself the 8AH battery. i scanned Ebay for the cheapest deal i could find

which was £99.95 with free delivery from a place in scotland called

Hunt- Shoot- Fish, is this a good deal lads ?? i thought it was, the delivery

was spot on time. Any way i had been using a Yuassa dry cell 12 AH and

after carrying that lump of lead for half hour you knew all about it. When it arrived

i was like a kid with ice cream, couldnt wait to get it out the box lol, i could not believe the weight of it, IE hardly no weight at all fecking brilliant. I read through the booklet

charged the battery and that night gave it a spin out on the lamp with my mate.

Basically we were out for a couple of hours had a couple of rabbits it was a still old night

with not much about but was pleased to get out to test the battery, which fitted

perfectly in to my Barbour pocket, i forgot it was there, it felt like i was just holding

a lamp. any way on my return home i checked the power meter on the battery ,

and it was still showing full power, unbelievable, well pleased.. Its just on a lot of posts

on here that you read, a lot of lampers use either the 14AH or the 22AH,, so i

thought it might be of some interest for those of you that have not used the 8 AH its an impressve little battery that fits nicely into your pocket and beats carrying dry cells by a mile.. We could have carried on lamping but my friend had an early start, Cheers SWG DAVE.

I use a 14ah and ive ran it out a couple of times with a deben tracer 170 with a 100w bulb in dont think i did with a 75w bulb in but i use the 100w bulb because the 75w bulbs seem to blow after abit of useage lamping from a truck when the lamps plugged direct into the truck

I wonder what they,ll be using after lithium, cos when

sealed lead acid first come on the market i thought

they were a great invention

no more holes in clothing due to acid spill from

motor bike battery,s. Oh well as time goes on they will probably

invent something smaller and even lighter, and then all will frown on the

lithium..I dont care if they was too, lithium does quite

nice for me and my back, cheers Deben...
