No idea, no control and no thought with these people, yep, ban em! Quote Link to post
Brigzy 1,298
Those "extending leads" should be banned ! No control over the dog, a danger to other dogs, people, traffic, etc. why would you want a dog on a piece of string ten yards in front of you ? 1 Quote Link to post

Country Joe 1,411
I used one when stock controlling pup through Sheep, and it was fine, its just being responsible, have walked the dog up a cycle path pup was fine, when seeing an approaching dog, just bring it in, and grab the lead. but i do know what you mean, as one day i was walking the dog on a short lead, on the other side of the road came a Woman with the extended lead short, but obviously not locked, her Poodle ran across the road to get to my dog, she was lucky, as its a busy road, the poodle even managed to pull her off her feet, and she fell over. Its easy to click it to stop it running, but half of these numties don't appear to know how to use them, as I said can be useful with stock breaking. I think a ban is certainly not uncalled for if people keep using these type of leads, especially if people keep letting their dogs run to the full length it, how the f**k is that safe on busy roads etc!? Potential for some very serious road accident waiting to happen, not good. Quote Link to post
