Bloody Extending Lead

Well took my dog fora walk with my little lad today and wife got one of these extending leads. The dog saw another dog and tried to chase after but the extending lead stopped her however knocked my lad over and then the dog ran back on herself and the lead got wrapped around my kids neck got there just in time got him a little around his face and neck but it could of been much worse needless to say iv thrown the lead away now and from now on a short lead for me anyone who uses them be careful fffuuckin dangerous pieces of sshit

Sorry to hear that i am not a fan of these what so ever horrible invention Imo had a few running's with dog owners as they was pretty full extended and there dog has gone for mine a big boot sorted the dog but you can't be under control of a dog with one of those that is a dam fact and should ban them

funny you should talk about them leads .was on park yesterday with my two .there was a woman with two akitas with them extendable leads .she was trying to bribe them with treats to sit but they were having none of it ha my terrier was goin mad like usual lol.

had a dog run out in road infront of my car once on a flexi lead, must have been 15 foot infront of owner, no chance to control it luckily i wasnt going fast,and stoppedbefore i hit the lead. glad your lads ok

With you 100% gafer, I cringe every time I see someone walking a dog, or worse, two dogs along busy roadways etc. I go out of my way to avoid these individuals. No idea, no control and no thought with these people, yep, ban em!

Those "extending leads" should be banned ! No control over the dog, a danger to other dogs, people, traffic, etc. why would you want a dog on a piece of string ten yards in front of you ?

had a terrier come a my dhx,s today fully extended i whent ape shit at the owners who was laughing its only playing they said i said these don't ya feking numpty get control of the f***ing thing they replied it is its on a lead i said ye 15ft in front at that point mine was pulling the owner spotted it and shit him self then blamed me lol apparently its my fault his quote there dangerous dogs they shouldn't be aloud out ffs the man hasn't a clue mine was under control solid leather lead on couplings both dogs by my side his 15 ft in front running riot whose dog is under control there

I used one when stock controlling pup through Sheep, and it was fine, its just being responsible, have walked the dog up a cycle path pup was fine, when seeing an approaching dog, just bring it in, and grab the lead.

but i do know what you mean, as one day i was walking the dog on a short lead, on the other side of the road came a Woman with the extended lead short, but obviously not locked, her Poodle ran across the road to get to my dog, she was lucky, as its a busy road, the poodle even managed to pull her off her feet, and she fell over.

Its easy to click it to stop it running, but half of these numties don't appear to know how to use them, as I said can be useful with stock breaking.

Yep, I get what you're saying, see it far too regularly. I think a ban is certainly not uncalled for if people keep using these type of leads, especially if people keep letting their dogs run to the full length it, how the f**k is that safe on busy roads etc!? Potential for some very serious road accident waiting to happen, not good.

I think they need banning mate,they are a fecking nucience even when other people who has them comes walking towards you with then extended so there muts are under your feet.how can you control a dog on a leader thats 12ft in front of them.
