Guest joe ox
Most saluki x greyhound will not touch fox there will always be a exception to the rule though. Quote Link to post
Big bald beautiful 1,231
I had a saluki for two weeks while a friend went on holiday and she caught a fox while out with a lurcher i had,she hadnt seen one up to then and i had to drag her off it screaming. when i told my mate about it, he wasnt so pleased because he had been taking her to dog training lessons because she was funny with his wifes italian greyhounds. Guest ocs1867
Salukis are bred to hunt irabian wolves so a red fox would be easy. Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
Salukis are bred to hunt irabian wolves so a red fox would be easy. Don't believe all you read in the breed notes. Wasn't gazelle and desert hare the main quarry for the Saluki???? Quote Link to post

Guest nitedog
Salukis are bred to hunt irabian wolves so a red fox would be easy. me mates do a lot ov daytime running and go out lamping sometimes but the dogs dont seem to like things that bite back .the dogs do well on rabits /hares/deer/ pre ban .the dogs are from top day time dogs they wouldent kill a fox never mind a wolf so what kind ov saluki x would Quote Link to post
tyson 1
me mates are saiuki greyhounds or mirlin eve. what kind ov hibrid would you say saluki xbull saluki xgreyhound/ lurcher not x bull , but merlin eve lines are from 20 years ago so unless its continual line breeding that strain is virtually non existent now, my grandads second cousin sons son is ex world title contender for supermiddleweight crown and fought nigel benn , but doesent mean i could beat floyd mayweather , but the breedings there Quote Link to post
Guest joe ox
If there is another breed in the mix as well as saluki and greyhound you will get fox killers. Saluki x greyhound and heavy saturated saluki crosses do not like killing stuff that bite back, they might well have a nibble doubled up with a capable fox killer but not much more.
