You need to keep on top of punching because the skin soon grows back were as if you remove the web you don't need to keep punching as they grow works best for me on a busy time scale...

The only reason the hole will grow back is if you don't remove the piece of skin what you punch out. That's if your using a proper toe punch.

I'd after disagree with that one burnie I've seen it grow out on meny ocassion with the skin removed the best method I found to be was to take the burned head match stick and press it thought but it's much easier to cut the webbing out.... And wing band them at tow weeks.... Uk

well I thought you'd have to disagree. I don't have any problems and I have toe punched enough to know how to do it properly. But we all have our own way of doing things.

Yep but I wouldn't do it if I thought it didn't work. I should of add after about a week old I check all my chicks to make sure. Before I let them out. Also I must add I used the type of toe punch what looks like a pair of leather punches and did have it grow back.So I bought a set from the states what look like a little pair of nail clipper what I haven't had a problem with but I always make sure the skin is away when doing it.

This what talking about ant it burnie yes if mess round do it right it probly won't grow back but it's a lot of messing around when it's so easy just cut the peice web away it not?... Evan more so when your hatching alott of chicks..... Another problam I found with toe punches is the hole some times not all the time happend to bust out.... But like u seid we all do things diffreantly.... Uk
