earlier this week my ferret started to scratch and bite himself alot so straight away i thought it was fleas so i checked but it wasnt so then thats when i remembered last week he escaped and one of my dogs slightly mauled him but luckily he has not cuts or bruises so then i checked again today and noticed he had a couple of sore white spots on his belly what he is scratching these are the only symptons i have noticed so i was wondering does anyone know what they are

Sounds like a reaction to the earlier wounding, mate. Flaky skin being the stuff that got damaged - probably subcutaneously - and is now just shedding off as fresh skin replaces it. Hence the itching.

 

As he's beem alright in himself thus far, I shouldn't worry. Just the healing process.
