Chicken_man 1,651 Posted April 7, 2014 Report Share Posted April 7, 2014 I would personally be cautious of the purity of any game strain laying a tinted blue egg and I have personally never seen any Spanish strain that lays one,but have seen them come henny,tasselled,muffed and rumpless the friend I mentioned earlier had some rumpless black reds but there is something about them that's just not right he has a lot of Spanish birds and they come in a large array of colours,generally even though very uniform and virtually identical in hand they don't breed true in colour and even if mating a black red cock to a partridge hen most any colour can be thrown probably due to being bred for purpose rather than show I think the main reason for not being over popular is their small size,as some strains I have seen come little over 3lb.
