Gaoler 83
Hello All, I have re-zeroed my HW100 .22 at 25 yards, after using 'Chairgun' with the JSB exact pellets 25 yards was the optimum range listed. Normally I zero at 28 yards, went out today and could not hit a thing, struggled to gauge any range with hold over and hold under, i would have had more luck throwing my rifle at the rabbits today..!! Normally I shoot very good, my question is, is 'Chairgun' any good? John... Quote Link to post
Gaoler 83
Normally I shoot bang on, used a range finder..!! Even checked the zero again in the field, pellet on pellet at 25 yards. I know it is human error in me, would reducing by 3 yards have effected my shooting that much?? Quote Link to post
porkycrook 466
If you have a chrono that you can shoot through at distance rather than than the type that go on the end of the barrel. If you have one or can get one then what i would suggest is to do a near and far reading. What you do is to set the chrono at say 5 yards, then shoot a few shots over to get a string average. Then move the chrongraph to say 40 yards then repeat to get an average reading at that distance, and put that reading into Chair Gun. By putting that information in to Chair Gun Pro you are giving it figures that it would be otherwise put use figures that have been programed to use. I know it seems to be over the top but by putting in those figures, but it then has information for your gun and your gun only. It is worth doing, when mine was done with the near and far readings it tightened my ranges/scope marks. All the best i hope you try it. Quote Link to post
