speedlamper 0
what you need to remember is all that you offering is the chance to clear your land of your vermin so why should people pay way over the odds to do you a favour, maybe if you had deer or something worth paying all that money then people may take more of an interest, i'd only pay £35 to shoot on your land if you had unicorns on there, drop your prices and maybe offer discounts for hunting life members and word will soon get round that its worth paying for Quote Link to post

spike 0
your prices are already on there so why ask, free advertising? reckon there far to high myself, think you'd be better of paying people £35 a day to shoot on your land I wouldn't be prepared to pay anything for shooting pests which you are legally obliged to control. The start of a slippery slope imo i control pest, vermin myself & not just my land, not a lot of people are fortunate to have land to shoot with live quarry,£35 is a start price thats why i asked for peoples comments if the price needs to come down then it may do,you would pay more than that to watch a premier football match or go to a theme park, you also pay your local council to takeaway your rubbish & clear pests but do you quibble about that ? & do you get any enjoyment out of it ? you can spend more than that on few hours drinking down the pub & be left with nothing but a hangover. 1) Why shoot other peoples land when you have so much of your own? 2) You asked for an opinion - I wouldn't pay anything - my opinion. 3) I pay the council to do it for me - not for the privelege of doing it myself. Glad you've lowered your prices, but I still wouldn't pay Quote Link to post
outshooting 0
1) Why shoot other peoples land when you have so much of your own? The other land i shoot is a very old friend of mine who can no longer take care of the vermin/pest on his land so i help him out along with two others. Quote Link to post
mad al 146
Just had a phone call, 120 acres with rabbits trying to take over (change from immigrants ), asked them if it was wheelchair accessible . Got to get better now Quote Link to post
outshooting 0
take the land its not often you get offered things free in life, but beware of the rabbits once they are in they are like imigrants, they will bring the rest make no mistake. Quote Link to post

J Darcy 5,871
For £35 a day can you guarentee how many shots you will get ,When you buy a days pigeon shooting you get a promise of so many shots or your cash back . i can guarantee live quarry how many shots depends on how good you are, if i was to guarantee that you would shoot 10 rabbits 10 rooks 10 pigeons & 10 magpie then it turns out you cant even hit a barn door would you expect your money back I'm afraid you can't guarantee anything ...... hunting is all about uncertainty...... Better to advertise the chance to shoot.... rather than chance to kill... Quote Link to post
IanB 0
Well I'm sure there lots down your way outshooting that would pay to shoot, especially amongst the airgun community as you often hear them shouting out for permission, whats £15 its a few beers, or a days shooting...if theres a market local to you then hope you do ok, as it gets more people involved in the sport who maybe don't have the opportunity.. good luck.. outshooting 0
Once again thanks for your support it is much appreciated, the reason i set up the shoot days for Airguns is that a lot of people were telling me they had Airguns but no land to use them & people who have had Airgun for some years but have not had the chance to use them so they are just sat in a cupboard under the stairs, hopefully this will give them people the chance to get an interest back in the sport. For those who have seen the web site you will have noticed that i also allow under 16s to shoot free with a paying adult, i hope that this encourages not only families to spend time together but also allow the next generation to keep the sport alive, i remember when companies stopped giving apprenticeships to school leavers & now with the vast lack of skilled workers we are paying for it as a country, i am not going to change the world, but i will try & do what i can to keep the sport i have done since i was a youngster growing up & love Quote Link to post
youngo 20
Personally i'd never pay for any hunting permision, as soon as people start it spoils it for everyone else. I called in at a farm last year been there a few times before but the farmer told me some boys are now paying so he'd have to ask me for a tenner to go on the land. i polietly decliened. I also think airguning is getting to commercialised now like course fishing all the different guns scopes camos, lads are spending huge amounts of money thinking it will put more game in the bag Quote Link to post
