morton 5,368
I know dogs that do more in a season than others do in five,i also know dogs that are tested less over their working life than others, its the individuals perogative to gauge what he may see as suitable to kennel and breed from,id much prefer to breed from dogs with several seasons under them, its often a choice taken away from us,hindsight is a wonderful thing. If I was not happy with a dogs ability in ratio to the seasons it tallied,id source elsewhere. foresterj 1,096
That's a terrible way of going about things Trigger, one that's heard often, and one that's simply not true. Yes shit dogs sometimes through good offspring, but very rarely. If you are after decent stuff, you stack the odds in your favour, and the best way of doing this is by getting pups from parents that have stood the test of time. IMO and "good "dogs always throw good pups? A good worker DOES NOT equate to a good producer. Quote Link to post
STRANGER 948
Where in that post does it say good dogs always throw good pups? Read it again slowly, and you will find the underlying message is 'stack the odds in your favour' I even put it in bold for special people The best way of doing that IMO is to source your pups carefully from well bred parents that are doing their job. End of. 1 Quote Link to post
