i know what your saying,,,,weasle,, steping down a little was not just for the dogs sake,,,,the numbers i, was getting was getting out of hand .. when are you happy it got to that stage,,,and the novelty was running out, to be honest,, not to mention i was flocking me own body, most the time i work on me own,and hit was takeing hits toll on me i ferret full shifts inbetween has well, the back can only take so much, probely got to much spare time on me hands,,i im looky enough not to have to go to work,,,;;;my be thnigs can get out of controll in this game, and you shud no when to calm hit down a little,,,,, the wife never gets any time with me some weeks but thats not a problem,,,lol,, erns lowest bag this year was 38,,, most of the time hit was 45to 66,,,, 905 rabbits this season,,,,,not to mention a lot of other gear,,,,,the law of average will all ways win,,,, ieither the dog will have acident or you will...

I cant go for a walk with my girlfriend without mooching about. It's my addiction for sure, even now i'm thinking about nipping out with lurcher and lamp when I should probably be in bed getting cuddles.

Lol if i have 3 good seasons i would do about 900.And thats getting out a lot.

I do all mine alone and ferreting hedges on your own can be tough enough,and thats catching 20 or so.

I remember reading one of your ferreting posts,and thinking well that just dont sound fun.

Ive made mistake of taking money from farmers before to clear land and as soon as numbers count,you begrudge a dog missing any, the fun gos out the window.

That about sums it up,I have a picture from a couple of years ago,Still remember it like it was last week a bout 20 rabbits and a fox,about a hours drive 2 hour walk nothing got away.Dog picking up rabbits on the way past them,the fox picture shes covered in mud where she slid to retreive it.

Night after i might of gone out local for a hour and just gave her a spin,little often.

When ever iv gone out for numbers all i remember is the number.
