She got a mortgage for her "second home", where here parents were living, (against the rules), and increased her mortgage at least twice. We, the public, payed the interest on her mortgage, while the money she raised in extra loans accrued interest in the bank for HER ! She sold the house at a profit of £1.2 MILLION; so, she had never actually paid anything for the house in the first place, her mortgage loans were interest free, (the interest being claimed in "expenses" paid for by the taxpayer). The extra money she raised in even more mortgage loans, made her a profit due to the interest it accrued, and then she sold when the market was high. To say she only stole £45000 doesn't show the whole picture. The fact she only has to repay £4800 means she is , litteraly , laughing all the way to the bank !

I have to admit to being a bit of a conspiricy theorist; but just look at the facts; one or two political nonentities are thrown to the wolves, for less than what Miller did, and they are sacked, disgraced, and in some instances sent to jail. These are the ones outside the "circle" ! Then look at the likes of Mandleson; sacked TWICE for corruption in office, but given a cushy job with the EU, along with it's perks and pensions, then given a peerage and brought back into government by Gordon Brown. He was not voted into government by the people, he was made a Lord and given a government position !! Miller is bang to rights, but gets a slap on the wrist; these are the ones who "know where the bodies are buried" ! They have something on the likes of Cameron and Blair, and can't be touched. Nothiing short of revolution will clear out this nest of vipers, and the best way to do that is to refuse to vote LibLabCon. Vote UKIP,but if you are uneasy with UKIP, vote for an Independent !! Send the "Establishment" a message !!!!

 

 

In a democracy, it's a God given right to vote for who you want; but when you vote for the status quo, it negates the right to complain when nothing changes. To bring about change, you must change the mindset of the establishment...... or change your vote. As long as we keep voting these people into power, they won't change. If we vote UKIP or for an independent candidate, we may put pressure on the establishment to start listening to us. Not voting isn't a choice, voting for a certain party simply because "my dad did" only perpetuates the status quo.

Did we used to write pamphlets together in the late '80s ??

 

No, from the 70's to the 90's I was busy bringing up a family and trying to make ends meet. Since then, I've had a lot more time to think about things and take stock of life. Whatever happens now won't affect me, but will certainly affect my children and grandchildren.

i owed the tax man 174.46 p even after talking to a man from the bradford tax office 45 mins to get through he said i wouldnt owe anything and they keep sending letters saying they are coming to take goods to the value lol ffs ant got owt worth that lol which ive paid by the way see how long it takes to get it back

Former MP Margaret Moran used this when she was accused of fiddling expenses, mortgage interest payments, property maintenance costs and 'flipping' her second home a few times. She went 'off sick' ON FULL PAY for over two years, before resigning in ignaminious disgrace. So it works !!

It's not enough IMO, she'll be back.. Cameron has hinted at it. Are they that thick they think the public is likely to forget this if she disappears for a few months? She should have been sacked as soon as she refused to step down in the first place.

The committee that recommended she only paid back £5800 out for the £45000 she defrauded everyone out of must be just as corrupt as her. They're supposed to make sure everything is done legally, but who checks to see THEY are doing their job properly?

 

As fraud is a criminal offence, surely the police should take action regardless of what chinless Cameron wants to do.

 

This daft mare was only "close to tears" because she's been caught and the gravy train has stopped for a couple of months. She'll be back in some made-up position later this year.
