strangers on it there,i like to be able to see,smell,hear the countryside at night,silently,not blasting across a field in a 4x4,itsamazing what you see when out lamping,its easy to become invisible if walking,lamp off ,walk on.

dont mean to sound rude here but when im lamping, im lamping. If i wanted to do a nature trail (see smell hear) id do it another time

 

You talk of becoming invisible i can only assume that you mean sneaking off if your poaching. I can only speculate here because i dont poach. But if i needed ti get away i would much rather take my chances in a motor than on foot.

it is mate i can do that if i keep off the roads otherwise ya get tuged and lamps taken the young lads don't help running 7 dogs on one hare i saw that with my own eyes one tea time whilst biking the dogs they leave everything they catch even deer they use every dog they have to hand that's another reason why its on top and there the clowns what breed there nuts and claim there wonder dogs

so when you go lamping your blinfolded,and got ear plugs in .i like listening ,whos about,what vehicles maybe around the corner,smelling where a fox maybe upwind,and listening to were dog maybe and what hes onto poss.it may be different up north ,but down here i can walk all night and not see anyone.not many people got lurchers.

No not at all mate. I can usually keep track of the where the dogs are because im not far behind them in the motor.

 

I always have some senses about me , and can spot a vehicles headlights no probs, some say im over-cautious when it comes to spotting other motors.

 

and i can always hear a farmers dog when we inadvertantly get a bit too close for comfort, which happened twice in one night last season

You can cover all the ground and see all the game you want..

 

You still need to have the dogs capable of catching the gear..

 

Only person I have seen put up big bags from driving has been Mark Brick..

 

All the other big bags seem to be produced from walking game riddled land..

 

I am talking rabbits here..
