22 Scope

Any of you guys used a 6x42 Swarovski or s&b on a 22? Or better of with say a 10x42? And would a 3-12x50 ziess be good for a 17hmr?

Hi.

I use a Nikon Monarch on my CZ .22lr Varmint and a Simmons WTC 3.5-10x40 on my CZ Delux .22 magnum but when I can find another fixed power scope I will be fitting that to the magnum. The Simmons is a cravking scope but I prefer fixed power.

I find my 3-12x50 (Hawke Endurance IR) very good on my hmr. My eyes are not so good these days and the exra magnification ensures feasable head shots on rabbits at 100 yards. Around the £300 mark though.

Cheers guys. But I'm thinking of splashing out on the scopes that I mentioned but just want to see if anyone is using them

Hi.

I forgot to mention the Nikon Monarch is a 6x42, not the same as a Swarovski or S& B but a great scope for the money.

I find the fixed power scopes a a lot better for me.

Ha nah I wouldn't be doing that! My arse ain't lined with diamonds.. Be a 2nd hand 6x42 I'd stick on it so a couple hundred quid but good stuff

200 quid?. Just get a Mamba Lite by MTC. That's plenty good enough for a .22, and you'll have some change!.

I've just put a nikon pro staff 3-9x40 on the .22, can't go wrong for £150 new.
