How Do I Obtain A Licence

Good evening fellas,

 

I have been a keen airgunner since I can remember but have been shooting clays for the last few month at my local club, I am wanting to apply for my own license but are unsure as to how.

 

What must I do.

First thing you need to do is download a shotgun application from your local police website.

Type into google 'your local policing authority firearms department' or visit 'basc' website, I believe the forms can be downloaded from here and they are accepted by firearms depts or visit your local poice station and ask for the forms.

 

I'd ask for two copies as then you have one form to practice on, as I made several mistakes

No requirement and it's probably best left until your cheque has been cashed and the Enquiry Officer has arranged a visit,

 

At least then you know you have a fair chance of grant and won't be wasting your money,

 

If you have a totally clean history with no concerns whatsoever, there's no harm in being prepared

After reading the post from sporting shooter, I can now say I am confident in applying for my SGC

Hi. I would have a cabinet fitted ready especially if you think there is no problem being granted a sgc and it will show the feo you are responsible enough to lock your airguns up.
