roystoncrankted 1
think some people are getting confused with a diff animal big as a mountain lion. id be disapointed if mine wouldnt take one if they were legal to hunt that is anyone got any picts to post of one cos im sure there not as big as a mountain lion ditto Took this from a site Description By appearance the Scottish wildcat resembles a very muscular domestic tabby, the coat is made up of well defined brown and black stripes and usually has a ruffled appearance due to it's thickness. The gait is more like that of a big cat and the face and jaw are wider and more heavy set than the domestic. Most apparent is the beautiful tail; thick and ringed with perfect bands of black and brown ending in a blunt black tip. The Scottish form is the largest in the wildcat family with males typically between 6-9kg (13-17lb) and females 5-7kg (11-15lb), around 50% larger than the average domestic cat. I would expect most bullx's worth there salt and willing to take abit of stick 100% able to take em. I would be very surprised if one would kill a dog. I can remember reading on a forum that someones pure collie had accidentally killed on. I think some of the members need to get out more, its a scottish wild cat not a tiger Witton there there tip ya glass Quote Link to post
Guest joe ox
Would it be possible for a single dog to take one of these out? The answer to your question is yes hypertheticly speaking of course. Why give ocs1867 such a hard time? Quote Link to post

DIGGIT 6
ocs1867 mate this 1 is for you, Right theres not much out that ive not had a go at with a dog and ive seen all types of thigs. first of all you need the right dog for the job, so that means you don't take your nice looking rabbiting dog or it would end up in a bad way or dead, next you need to think how you will catch 1 as they spend most of there time in deep wood land and up trees, so unles you have got a 1st cross bull monkey you may have some probs with that 1, 2nd there is not that many of them about, so finding 1 will be a right fecker. 3rd and last, y would you want to hunt 1 i can not see the point you can't eat them and i can't see them being much of a prob with framers, and yes a good pit would prob make short work of 1. i think stuff like this should be left free, there huters just like us, and i like look of the littel feckers and im not a cat lover. NOW IF YOU HAVE A DOG THATS GOT BIG BALLS HAVE A GO AT 1 OF THESE THERE PROPPER HARD CORE Quote Link to post

Guest joe ox
A 1/4 Dogo 3/4 greyhound would probably be a handy dog to own. Quote Link to post

Guest SJM
whats the craic there then? Do they just keep it in that enclosure and roll the dogs on it to give them experience or what? Quote Link to post
workindogz 0
they do this for the younger inexperienced dog so they can learn technique and test them to see if they are worth keeping not much sport but a neccessary process to train young dogs Quote Link to post
Guest pip
Would nt be on for that shit ,one on one ok in the wild,3 on one in an enclosure????For me hunting is all about fairness,1 lurcher v 1 fox 1 terrier v 1 fox etc.excluding scent hounds.Thats just bullying to me,3 yellow bellies would do that, the dogs don t learn anything. Guest SJM
I was surprised the way they just shut all of them in the back like that, in together, and the dogs didnt start wiring into each other after being all fired up Mind you the dogs did look pretty fecked after they had been on it Quote Link to post
workindogz 0
your forgetting a mountain lion can weigh up to 180lb and comparing that to a lurchervfox is silly its more like a terrier v BW and single handed would be near impossible saying that they tell me a mature experienced dogo can kill them but im sceptical.
