Brummy 9
Had a knock at my door today. It was some tosser from the DVLA informing me that I had commited an offence by parking my car on the kerb outside my house with out of date road tax. When I asked him who the grass was he just smiled. Obviously I'm angry because in the first instance it is a complete oversight on my part but over and above that one of my neighbours has grassed me up. What to do? I've an idea who it might be as well................ This site is full of wonderfully creative chaps and lasses....................... what action should be taken ? =@

Stevie E 66
Not a nice thing to happen to be grassed for something like that when drug dealers get grassed on nothing gets done ,my dads motor got the same done to him by an off duty copper outside his house,he was told by a neighbour the copper was walking round the area with a notepad taking down numbers whilst walking his dog. chartpolski 24,132
Doesn't need to be any body grassing, the DVLA computer now automatically flags a vehicle without tax or SORN. Cheers.
Running 7
when i was a lad we would get dog shit put it in news paper and set fire to it on there doorstep then knock and watch them come out to stamp it out lol failing that as long as they own there house turn off their water from the stop cock outside and just add some quick drying cement they will have to pay to get it all dug out again still you have to be sure its them befor anything
millie 1
the dvla dish out fines through their computer,i've had them before when the cars been parked in a garage out of site.......simple enough either sorn it or tax
Guest Macnas
Wouldn't bother me arse with that, not worth the hassle. If someone will call the law about a car and its tax disk, they'll blab like billyo if you step over the line.

lucky 578
just report them atleast twice a week for "joyriding" tell them anonamously (spelling) that there a danger to the public, and that they are at it all the time, keep this up for atleast 6 months and you can have a little laugh to yourself everytime the police knock on there door....just remember to use the phonebox or buy a few cheap sim cards. Guest The Shaman
The math don't add up here . The DVLA as mentioned have wacking great expensive computers, who automatically dish out fines (I sold a car a few months back, the tax was running out so I sold it quick, ie 3 days overdue. I got a £40 fine for being out of tax for three f**cking days but thats another story). Anyway what I am saying is that the DVLA don't need to investigate if your cars parked on a grass verge outside your house, or if its on the hard shoulder of the motorway smashed to bits or the local divvies have twocked it, if you haven't filled in the SORN you will get a bill through your letter box. Like I say it doesn't add up that someone from DVLA would bother his fat arse to check up on you, his expenses for doing so would outweigh the fine. You didn't get an on the spot fine did you??? Are you sure some twat isnt going round with a fake id and conning you As for the neighbour, spread some chinese whispers that they have been using their home as a brothel or swingers meet up place and post the address in the local gay mag with their phone number
wyliecoyote 0
a few cars round here have been clamped for no road tax they drive round the streets checking but as said before they know which cars are taxed through the computer and if its not taxed/sorned you'll get a fine
J Darcy 5,871
Can they fine you for being so little out of date......and what if it was in a garage off of the road on private property?...
mooster 1
Stop blaming other people!...........it's nobody elses fault ,why should you be let off when the rest of us have to pay car tax? If the bloke next door to you was an illegal immigrant claiming loads of benefits for kids and a disability he doesn't have would you not consider telling someone?....why should he get away with it?
