Profit is good and big profit is even better !! . Exactly, so why didn't the government do that? This was a company owned by the British public, these clowns decided to sell it under value, and your defending there actions. Amazing how brainwashed folk are and a fine example why it'll never change.
Themoocher 231
Im not reading aw that shite lol. The shares got sold off at a about a 1/3 of there market value. Next day on the exchange the prices rocketed I belive 38% I watched a bit about it last night its one of the biggest rises ever. Blackbriar 8,569
This happened with every privatization undertaken so far............British Gas, British Telecom, British Airways the list goes on, so it doesn't really come as a surprise to me ! Some large investors who were given preferential prices in return for maintaining a long term stake in Royal Mail. Surprise, surprise - they've sold them already ! They hatch a half-arsed scheme to sell us something we already own. We buy the shares, quickly cash them in and the company gets mopped up by City fat-cats, whose first move usually involves 'rationalization'. UK Coal (what was once the National Coal Board) has come cap-in -hand to the Government, asking for a hand-out to keep going. This after being sold to private owner, after being 'rationalised'. Or as I call it 'tens of thousands of men being laid off. And what have been the first major announcements from Royal Mail ? Price increases and large redundancies.............here we go again
Born Hunter 17,787
If it was all so obvious, I suppose you lot cleaned out the savings to buy shares? In fairness, I know a few that did. LOL

Malt 379
It was fecking simple, all they had to do was release the shares gradually and keep releasing them at around the price they were trading at.

ChrisJones 7,975
Remember when they sold all off all of the utilities? Gave millions of miles of tax payers pipe and cable, away, for free? Royal Mail is just another f**k up.
