trigger2 3,137
i worked a lurcher that had pins in her legs had many a decent bag of rabbits on the lamp 30s 40s she lived to a ripe old age and you would never have thought she had a injury. the one main thing your pup has going for it imo is youth. 1 Quote Link to post
bendrover 556
I took a pup I bred back after it broke its hock at 10 months . I gave him 3 months total rest then road walking 2 months , trotting 6 weeks then short runs . hes 4 now and never had a day off other than a muscle tear in his thigh . (on the other leg) every injuries different though Quote Link to post
littlefish 585
I had a 12 week old terrier broke a hock. It was treated with bandage/splint for a few weeks and restricted cage rest. Terrier is 13 now and still is very active.....never a limp noticed. Young bones can heal well. Don't be in a rush to do too much too soon. Good luck. Quote Link to post
sandymere 8,263
Some sensible advice already, just to add take time over recovery if there are breaks, its young so time is your best ally. Hope its nothing to serious Quote Link to post
