Strong Stuff 2,171
Not me mate, I'm still pondering on running my TD5 on it, have seen loads of positive posts about it, but have also seen articles that say Derv is absolutely essential to lubricate and clean the fuel system, guess it's a suck it and see thing, but would be very expensive if it's wrong........ Am well pleased with the difference between a 4.0 V8 and my TD5, same amount of weekly mileage, fuel bills down to a quarter! It might have been ANTG that posted the article, think he knows a bit about it all.
antg 1,765
some modern engines wont run on it but yours will on that year tyson. maybe mix it 50/50 with the cold weather coming. also change your fuel filter after a few hungred mile as the oil takes all the shit off your tank and fuel pipes. Strongstuff i would look into it a little more before i put it into yours. as you say it would be an expencive fix there is plenty info on the net if you google it it will give you all the info you need
TOPPER 1,809
TD 5 IS OK ON VEGGIE BUT I WOULD USE 50/50 IN THE COLD, THEY RUN SMOOTHER AND LESS NOISEY ON VEG OIL WE USE IT IN MOST OF OUR VEHICLES NOW AND DON T GET ANY PROBLEMS, WE HAD TO CHANGE THE FILTER ON THE NEW VOLVO AS THE STANDARD ONE WAS TO FINE AND KEPT CLOGGIN UP ON COLD MORNINGS UP NORTH BUT VOLVO WERE VERY HELPFUL AND WITH THIS.
