sandymere 8,263
Bit more time so I can go into a little more detail. It is young for a food allergy to show and it could well be nothing more that a transitory irritation so I would watch and wait in the first instance. Even a little scratch to an ear flap or a mild irritation within the ear can cause symptoms but these should settle before to long. Having said that as the inner ears are particularly sensitive areas of skin if there is an allergy or more chronic inflammation these are often the first to react. The post above asks a salient question, are there any other symptoms such as runny nose etc that would suggest an allergy? Other things to look out for would be scratching at the face, ears or perhaps under the forelegs/arm pits along with any reddening to muzzle or bare skin areas. These would point to a likely allergy and then it would be worth looking at what causes are likely and taking further steps. The most important thing is don’t jump the gun and if you do find its an allergy be methodical about it, do one intervention at a time rather than wholesale changes or you may never find the cause and even cause other proteins to become a problem. Speak to a vet most know more about nutrition than the average self styled experts will ever know. sandymere 8,263
I'd watch and wait, if it settles good, if it gets worse, get it looked at again. Keep an eye on the inner ears and skin on the muzzle etc. Ps check its teeth
