I would not pay £2000 to have a 3 legged lurcher..   PTS would be my option

Lloydy,,,take some straws off him mate,,then pts,,,,without sounding callus,,,it's a lot of money to be paying for the op,,and a lot of pain to put a dog through,,life is a struggle as it is,,   Can

I THINK Gafer had a beddy x that had a front leg off ? Not 100% tho sorry pal. If I am right then I believe he still has the dog and it still catches a few rabbits for him, fair play to the fella!

Regardless, hope your dog's alright pal!

Mine had his front leg off cost me £2000 there will be more pressure on the one foot and my dogs toes have calloused up an he runs better than he can walk but to be honest he doesn't no his legs gone he just gets on with it and had to adapt to having his leg off but it doesn't hold him back i still run him on rabbits but no where near as many as i used to. Hope this helps

Been there myself and the break was too bad PTS. 'Twas a sad day, but I couldnt face leaveing him at home after the life the dog had lead before.

Hard call to make I can tell thee.

Whatever your choice, good luck
