CraignTod 278
Hi, im craig and I have a ped whippet named tod (aged 6months) I am new to lamping, done a bit with my father when I was just a lad but that was with ferrets and nets. So I would just like a bit of advice, I am currently lamping (lightforce with red filter) and shooting the quarry, is it ok to train tod to retrieve dead quarry if my aim is to get him to chase the rabbits when hes old enough? Or would this interfere with his hunting at a later date? 1 other question is I heard rabbits cannot see red light? Is this true if so its the same for dogs so lamping with a red light when tods old enough is the wrong way to go? Thanks in advance Edited March 26, 2014 by CraignTod Quote Link to post
