dpb82uk 138 Posted March 26, 2014 Report Share Posted March 26, 2014 i spoke to sum fella at a canal last year thay told me that 2 swans killed a springer a week befour the springer jumped in after them and it was drowned they did av young at the time. i was trying to walk down the canal the swans wasnt to bad with me but didnot like my dogs i had to get in a ner by field and go rouned them Quote Link to post

He got used to ignoring them more but the other day he ran up to one and grabbed it by the neck but just kept hold for a few moments. The swan was flapping but my lurcher just held on proudly. He then casually let go and came back to me. I'm in split minds. One im glad he didn't kill it as a lot of family's and kids around but secondly I was a little disappointed he didn't as he's a good chaser but not terribly blood thirsty. He done a similar thing with a cat in my garden. He pinned it with one paw and proceeded to beat it with the other but no cat was dispatched. That I was a little disappointed about as il never miss cat crap all over the veg patches! Quote Link to post
