Pedwar 320
Was the vixen in milk, did you even think that you may be leaving cubs to starve to death below ground Quote Link to post
delswal 3,819
Maybe the farmer and cushty thought the future lambs and present stock more important than a fox ? . Quote Link to post

Pedwar 320
Maybe the farmer and cushty thought the future lambs and present stock more important than a fox ? . All pest control should be as humane as possible, leaving cubs starving to death is hardly humane, perhaps the vixen was barren and no cubs were involved tho, thats why I asked the OP if the vixen was in milk Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
So what happen when we shoot a milky doe, all of us have done it and left yound bunnies to starve. I'm going foxing saturday with the intention of shooting as many as possible, simply because the farmer has asked as he is due to turn the lambs out in a few weeks. So in his eyes his lambs are more important than foxes, same as we would view it if we were losing money/stock to a fox 1 Quote Link to post
Cushty mush 95
Was the vixen in milk, did you even think that you may be leaving cubs to starve to death below ground No I didn't think about the cubs starving to death But I did think about the 14 hens that farmers lost in the last 2 weeks And 3 lambs that had there back legs eaton off and then just left It's a personal choice I suppose but I'd rather take a mangy fox And save the lambs un hens (A fox shooter leaving foxs to rare cubs on a hen un sheep farm is a bit if a no brainier ) Just my view Like I said if that's why the farmer wants me there il carry out his wishes Edited March 28, 2014 by Cushty mush Quote Link to post
