obi2 239
Why is it that most of the best dogs there has been have all had about 5 owners. From the coursing side to the bull xs. You always hear about different people owning them and someone else had it for a few month etc. seems the top dogs have all had there fair share of owners. Why is this if anyone can explain? Popular Post J Darcy 5,871
Because the dog game is full of messers. People who see a dog as disposable, people who can't be bothered to invest time into getting the best from a dog. Just pass it on, get some coin back and go buy another. The most loyal thing in the world is a dog, it's a shame they can't say the same for us. Poor, poor dogs. :sorry: 21 Quote Link to post
forest of dean redneck 11,730
Some people see the status of owning a top dog, wave wad of cash and its tempting for the owner I suppose. Quote Link to post
R.A.W 1,987
I'm a firm believer in the fact that a truly good dog never gets passed around !!!!!!!!! I know you can't judge other people by your own standards but why put all that time and effort and love into an animal to sell it on. I'm aware that circumstances change but surely you can a find a good home with conditions and it's looked after and comes back if the worse happens. 4 Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
The coursing lot always seem to have a half dozen new pups every year Every spring its the same thread. . . . pups for next season! But you are right It always amuses me that so many of the bull x 'legends' have had many owners and been passed around the country. . . . Quote Link to post

socks 32,253
In my opinion a genuine dog man woumd never get rid of a working dkg that was doing his jo well why would he it makes no sence ... you have a dog that you have put time effort tears and sweat into to get it to be top of its game only to sell it on and start again ... thats just nonsence ... people who see the dog as a commodity to make money off each time are not true dog men ....... 6 Quote Link to post
sawyer 94
I never understand people selling a good dog for good money because to replace the good dog you would have to spend the same money or more so why bother Quote Link to post
fox digger 1,086
its the "legends" that are passed about, if a genuine chap rears a dog to be a good one it generally never leaves his yard. and thats why they are not heard of, IMO. 3 Quote Link to post
Themoocher 231
There is few very good bull xs leave kennels. But you will usually find there in the same kennel till there about 6 and passed it. Or have a niggling injury that may suit someone else type of hunting. Quote Link to post

R.A.W 1,987
On serious note ......................... I bond with my dogs and take Immense pleasure and pride when as pups they reach those all important milestones . Molding a dog to what you can and want to do is an amazing thing that may even evolve with your change in direction, is there enough money to buy that ?..............................Is there Fork. LEGEND ................I'll take a realitively unknown prospect any day 6 Quote Link to post
