DenBell 149
In short, i was going to spend some spare money on a night sight but now i'm torn. do i buy a new rifle or stick with the night sight? i currently have a BSA scorpion but its only the single shot and i quite fancy an R-10 or Daystate huntsman. know i'll get some varied responses but i'll take the ones i like 1 Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Have you considered a great spring rifle DenBell? I have a Daystate Huntsman Regal. A beautiful rifle to look at and handle; and is an awesomely accurate PCP in .177 and quality built. But, honestly, my HW97K .177 is every bit as accurate and costs nearly half the price. And it doesn't run out of puff or need a diver's bottle. Then, I have an HW77 and an HW80 .22...and they are something else! Simon 2 Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
I won £440 quid on the footy yesterday and my first thoughts were ns50 But i dont need nv because i have no rabbit permissions. So im just going to get another sidewinder to go on my hw98 Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
Both of those guns you mentioned have lots of problems , even the mk2 r10 , my brand new Daystate regal has been back to Daystate 3 times and the gun shop told me they send back a lot of regals . I would not buy a TV screen to go on top of my guns, I hate them ,have a look at some of the new NV kits coming out and look on the Nightvision forum , some good information on the site about different NV set ups 2 Quote Link to post

So im just going to get another sidewinder to go on my hw98 That's the thing mate, all my permissions are for Rabbits and there's a lot of em. hence why i want NV but I also want a better rifle. I'll end up with both but what comes First? Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
It is coming up to the time of year when Night Vision is only really useful to insomniacs and ruddy vampires. The days are stretching out, the rabbits will soon be feeding and doing something else beginning with f (fornication chaps, fornication) all day! When it is daylight for almost 17 hours in a few weeks, night vision might not be that necessary! 1 Quote Link to post

In that case sir it will be a wise investment, especially if you are surrounded by insomniac bunnies! Quote Link to post
silentshot1 206
It's great when you have a decision like that to make! Last time I had enough hidden from her majesty to buy a night site I bought a new gun... kind of wish I'd bought the night site with hind sight. If you are thinking of an R10 or Huntsman, then it may be worth looking at a good used one and getting it tuned by Darrin at XTX air. My used, later R10 mk1. went to him and has been faultless and deadly ever since. I love it! Quote Link to post
