toolebox 1,563 Posted March 29, 2014 Report Share Posted March 29, 2014 Thats intersting guys, our rabbits here in NZ breed all year round ,slow abit during the winter but theres that MANY of them we just carry on ferreting all year The young are generally born out in the open in a short nest hole ,hang around cover till they are about 1/2 grown before they are found in any warrens so its not a real problem. 1 Quote Link to post

toolebox 1,563 Posted March 30, 2014 Report Share Posted March 30, 2014 They poison 1,000s of Has but still rabbits build back up quickly and within a couple of years are found in HUGE numbers again,at one time a mate & I ferreted,wired and longnetted just on 500 for two days just mucking around really .
