in my opinion brendy 1 of the main things you need is early pace because as you know the minute the hare gets up he gone for a gate or headge so you need that hare turned straight away for it to become a good hunt, so early pace, good in cover, tight turning, and good killer..

more or less the same as captain said some dogs don't make 3 4 5 seasons can make 2 and be very good if there winter hares and done all type land the hares not going 2 get much better in the next 2 year or so I haven't seen much diferent in hares in last few years to now I would be happy enough to breed of a 2 season bitch if done what I want in a dog only my opinion
