jimmy1982 153
Well ive split the elder into individual pegs drilled um now just need to shape them up. theres one that I did over month on one of my nets on the right. Really enjoyed doing them playing about with the hand sander smoothing them off lol. Just shows how board im getting now season to a end but it will be worth because I can say ive made them 1 Quote Link to post
The one 8,481
Nets ,snares or pegs the more you use them will break i allow for a certain percentage to go every year and replace them , so i just use any wood laying about and dont bother treating them Quote Link to post
krawnden 1,036
I've used elder for snare pegs and net pegs for years and have never bothered treating them. Always cut, shape and sharpen when it's fresh as it's dead easy then. But once they've dried out they're good and sturdy. I've still got a few kicking about that have lasted years. Quote Link to post
