I really like it........I've jugged if a few times & with a bit of dark chocolate added to the source it can be great, but it can be tricky to get right....

I got some here in the supermarket & only the back legs came out nice & tender.

I like eatin hare but it is a gamey, strong taste and it needs a bit of thought with what to put with it to get it right. Simple rule of thumb is that if ya don't want to get all arty farty, think of it as beef. Traditional jugged hare and all that would be very nice but... Well, who's got a stoneware jug just for that eh.. I ain't!

So, I usually curry it and, like rabbit, I do get a bit choosey about what parts I eat these days, with hare, just the saddle and the back leg meat. Pick the best, dogs and ferrets get the rest and have a fecking good go.... Enjoy! :thumbs:

In the super market???? My dads had it a few times pre ban but could never cook it right, ended up rubbery he said.

Yeh you see quite a bit of game here (in season) in the supermarket mate, hare seems to be most popular, judging by the stock they get in.

When I said jugged, I meant roughly.......lol.....using the blood etc........I ain't got no jug either.....:-)
