arrybash 0
Hi, I am trying to establish if my shotguns are suitable for use with High Performance steel shot. My shotguns are a Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 12g 28" Game and a Beretta A400 12g 30" Xplor Light, both guns are less than 6 months old. I have looked in the manuals and whilst the manual for the A400 suggests it probably is OK there is no relevant information in the Silver Pigeon Manual. My dealer is not 100% sure either. The cartridges I would like to use are Gamebore Steel Shot Mammoth 3" Hevi-Load, shot size 3, 36gms 76mm long. I have attached photos of the markings on the barrels where I suspect the information is to be had. Thanks in anticipation of some guidance. Chris Quote Link to post
delswal 3,819
On the top picture the image on the far right hand side is the stamp mark that indicates its suitable for steel…..so if your chokes are stamped SP your shotgun is proofed for steel shot Quote Link to post
