andy draper 1
Do a google search mate, you will find out how the AT can "fall off".Depending on the age of the gun it may not even have it fitted. It is not illegal to remove it or own a gun without it fitted and as your gun is out of warranty it wont effect that either. Tron 173
If your 410 was purchased new two years ago then it should have anti tamper. on the right side of the action in line with the transfer port you will see a shiny shear off bolt plus removing the stock and looking at the underside you should see alloy blanking discs covering the screws holding the action to the barrel assembly. the discs are easily drilled out but the transfer port shear bolt needs removing by someone with a good workshop. [/quote easily removed with a spring loaded centre punch and a rounded pin and tap it out ,even better if you've got an old dart .Take it steady as you will damage the appearance of the outside rim . Be sure to replace the old shear bolt with a machine bolt as to keep out grit and moisture Quote Link to post
walshie 2,804
Why do AA put the anti-tamper on it if everyone recommends tampering with it? Quote Link to post
moxy 617
Why do AA put the anti-tamper on it if everyone recommends tampering with it? it's just like the urge you get to touch when you see a wet paint sign. Nobody really knows why. You just got to do it. Quote Link to post
PIL 7
Why do AA put the anti-tamper on it if everyone recommends tampering with it? I think it was to pacify the governing body that makes such decisions. You don't gain a lot by turning just the screw other things need to be done aswell to make a significant difference but that's not for an open forum. I don't see why I should have to send my aa away to be serviced when it can be done at home (normally by porno-chops) I don't know why the blanking disks on the underside of the action is supposed to prevent you doing , maybe again (servicing youself) ? Adzgsxr 3
Is that the anti tamper which on the old S410 you could adjust the power by adjusting in and out. Quote Link to post
davyt63 1,845
yes that is the AT,and yes this means you cant service it,or decrease/increase the power. your AAS410 should be fine to use a PCP will probably need a service about 3/4 years, depending on the shelf life of the O rings, which will be around 3/4 years ? put your rifle over a chronograph, this will show if it needs any thing doing to it. if it aint broke, don't fix it accuracy over power any day of the week if your thinking of increasing the power? then watch your groups open up,as the internals are not designed for over sub12ft/lbs. and you could potentially f**k up your pride and joy. 1 Quote Link to post
