jasper65 6
I have been given a 600amp diesel Battery which seems to hold charge ok but it needs topping up. I know you can buy distilled water but I have been told its the same stuff as the frost from the freezer when defrosted? Cheers Jasper
bill88 6
If it was that simple, they wouldn't be able to get away with selling deionised water for 60p a litre.

boris b 1
Are you sure about boiled water ? i thought the vapour (steam) that you collected let it cool then it recondensed back into demineralised water ? after all water still has the same propertys when you boil it because it doesnt change its state as such . jasper65 6
I know Mike ! the moths are now settling down for winter in my wallet so I didn't want to disturb them . to be Honest I wasn't sure the battery was any good at first expecially when I opened up some of the plugs and the cells was pretty dry and rusty looking, I stuck it on trickle charge for 24hrs and so far its held charge!! I tested it today and it seems ok which is good news..... Cheers Jasper
