Only been once was a well attended show busy as f**k though felt like a I was standing in a phone box way 100 people should try get a bigger spot for it.

It's Pam that sorts this one I think

Does anyone what date there show is on at the foxhall inn

Yeah it wasn't a bad show could do with a few more stalls though

You'll only get more stalls if people are willing to spend money - if no one spends the stalls will go.

Good turnout but what I didn't like were the dog breeders who were there - crufts border winners etc, I thought it was supposed to be 'proper' working dogs not just show types!!!

It wasn't a bad Lal show would be better in a bigger field. One thing I did notice when I was there what's with these mastiff x lurchery types?

Those will be your Alunt type of game stamping hounds. Good for standing about with your vest on

Only jesting lads :D .

I'm not trying to disrespect anyone or there dogs but I don't see the point in these giant dogs surely a dog half there size will do the same job just as well if not better. I know why we put a bit of pit in the mix but why do they want a dog that big? mastiffs are hardley the most atheletic dog there is. Or is it just the same as these lads u see on every street with a staffy to make them look hard (it doesn't btw) I really don't see the appeal.

If sumone could fill me in with some info that would be great

Bigger dogs come in handy on certain thing, don't take a genius to work it out does it. Im talking Pre ban obviously but not every 1 takes notice of the ban. If your running something not far of the size of a small horse would you prefer to use a small dog or a big strong dog?

You don't need something the size of a small horse to take any game in this country. You want a big dog get a deer hound or wolf hound not one of them monstrostrosaties they just look slow and sluggish.

And who says the owners of said dogs are not using them as part of a breeding programme to produce something that suits their needs. Bred to Saluki x Grey, then again if needed !!!!
