perthshire keeper 1,239
1. I'm not sure yet; I'd rather go to them with some idea of the market first. 2. Much the same as you guys. A trap that is actually similar to the original Duffus trap rather than the mass produced crap they all call 'Duffus' traps now.... good stuff...well if their what we want ile have 50 for starters.... but then ive never seen or handled a real duffas so ime buggerd if i know what their like but like i say i know what i would like in a trap (the bottom of the loops flattened off is defo not it!) Mr Wasp posted some pictures of the real thing not long ago.... 45+ years old, and you could set it and catch a mole in it better than any of the copies of copies that are on sale today. Matt 160
Don't forget those nice tight holes All the changes have been made from the original have been to ease the manufacturing process rather than improve the trap.... I wish I had a bit of money. I'd set someone up making the real deal and they'd sell like hotcakes.... Quote Link to post

I wish I had a bit of money. I'd set someone up making the real deal and they'd sell like hotcakes.... indeed canny beat a nice tight hole..... oh wait if i had time i could break down new trap and make a barrel sheet from sheet steel and drill holes in it as i think they should be....and ime 99% sure they would be better than most on the market today! Butler 396
Trappers all over the world "Tweek" new traps to improve the catch rate............... I wouldn't be in any rush to bring out a catch 100% off the shelf trap ok if your making the traps you will make some money but mole catches would soon loose work as any one could sort there own problem out with the wonder trap...... 1 Quote Link to post
