Are you specifically targeting the hares (as opposed to setting for rabbit), if so what size loop and wires are you using?

Yes mate I targeted the hares,the snares are the same ones you would use for rabbits on the open runs set the wire a bit higher then you would for a rabbit,these where set at 8-9inches,the fence snares were set just as you would for rabbit allow a gap at the bottom of snare just so hare can get its feet through and it's head goes in the snare

Cheers mate I've stopped snaring hares now till September to allow them to breed up and also don't kill any carrying young.

Come September I will take a few just for the table?

Cook it anyway really,fav though is put it in a tin foil package with mushrooms salt pepper and butter,put it on hot coals off BBQ or fire let it cook for hour n half absolutely lovely?
