Inbreeding is quiet natural in a lot of species. When you see a red stag with his harem are you telling me that some of those hinds are not his daughters or even grand daughters. It's a known fact

This is closer than most terrier people would ever go. But this dog performed and produced. His Sire is a 1/2 brother sister breeding and Dam is father to daughter breeding. Bred together they were g

This is what happens when you breed to close the fcuking ''Stamp'' of them lot ,,,,, fighting terriers the lot at 1 min hahah ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTLWcMAqyLU

to me thats inbreeding not line breeding that very close breeding could be a lot of problems there i know a guy that done father daughter and all came very small and some had problems im sure everyone will have a different view but id stay clear

I'd have a pup from a brother/sister mating if the parents were sound and healthy, did the job they were bred to do and the pups at this stage seemed healthy enough.

You're as likely to encounter problems from unrelated stock as you are related.

as said if the parent are good and healthy and the pups are the same go for it but if you breed any of the pups go either for a distant relative or a total outcross

beat me to it, new blood would be the choice for me

Id be looking close at overshot and undershot also a litter we bread this way the pups wrist turned feet outwards slightly weather or not this was due to the mating or not or a distant throwback who knows but look closer than close for the traits my opinion cheers

What i would want to know is how long the chap has line bred and has he used this mating before.Too often would concern me but a one off because they were outstanding would encourage the sale .If your buying it with a view to future breeding /starting a line then please refer back to the breeder for his advice on what to do .Im guessing you have done a bit of background on it and are happy with what you know.

BTW any breeding within a line is exceptable knowing all is well with the stock but too close is not recommended too often .
