delboy_187 902
I'd get both if you could a pup you could keep while training him from the older dog or if you have any friends you could tag along with to help train your pup. Thats just me Quote Link to post
socks 32,253
My dogs dont need food before they go hunting they get fed at night when they finished method used by most good doggy men i know So if your doing a full nights lamping on Monday night the dogs get fed on Sunday night lets say 8 o'clock by 4 am they have digested and used up that meal it's going to be at least another 24 hours before they are fed and you expect them to put in a full nights graft .... If I am going out lamping at say 10 pm my dogs get half a meal at around 4 pm ... This gives them plenty of energy to see them through a nights graft ......... 8 Quote Link to post

socks 32,253
Oh and on the posters original question it has to be a pup every time ... You will never get the un breakable bond man and dog can have if you buy in an adult ... A pup that has grown to trust you and see you as its everything will do more and work harder to please you than any bought in dog that is somebody else's failiour ............... Quote Link to post

Exactly how I do it always works for me mate! That's the way my dads always done it, especially if your dogs out 2/3 nights in a row. I feed mine when I get in aswel then again at 4 the next day. 1 Quote Link to post
