So if your doing a full nights lamping on Monday night the dogs get fed on Sunday night lets say 8 o'clock by 4 am they have digested and used up that meal it's going to be at least another 24 hours b

A dog has the fastest digestive system of all mammals and can completely digest a meal in 8 hours so feed the dog 8 hours before you intend to work it and it will be ready to go on a full session for

Right mate so you say your new to the game, my advice would be to get one pup, to train two at the same time takes experience and loads of patience, bond with the dog and dont rush it do your homework

My dogs dont need food before they go hunting they get fed at night when they finished method used by most good doggy men i know :D

So if your doing a full nights lamping on Monday night the dogs get fed on Sunday night lets say 8 o'clock by 4 am they have digested and used up that meal it's going to be at least another 24 hours before they are fed and you expect them to put in a full nights graft .... If I am going out lamping at say 10 pm my dogs get half a meal at around 4 pm ... This gives them plenty of energy to see them through a nights graft .........

true ken, was thinking about this the other day, that my colliexs have all been strong bond to me, my bullxs ok but not like the colliexs, meaning they weren't that bothered as long as there belly was full and they could kill something lol, and Buck my 1x gsdx grey he as bonded to Bryn more than me I think he totally orienated to him.So some types can settle down and bond not to bad even brought in as adult, but some are a lot better from a pup

Exactly how I do it always works for me mate! That's the way my dads always done it, especially if your dogs out 2/3 nights in a row. I feed mine when I get in aswel then again at 4 the next day.
