bracken boy 584
Nobody saying having the heater on fulltime but geez u hard fookers think ur it geez a little heat cant hurt them, mine got heat and still smashed the game, just my view and i feel fine with that, by the way some of ur huts with decent bedding and housing look fine so dont beat me up lol Link to post
fox digger 1,086
unnecessary in my opinion, a dry bed and out of draughts is more than sufficient. a whelping bitch maybe a heat lamp but other than that no way, what do you do if you want to work them on a bitterly cold morning after being under a heat lamp all night??? when you get out of your warm bed and its cold you put on cloths to suit, pull the dog out from under a heat lamp and go out on a cold windy morning at sunrise and your dog is liable to get pneumonia!!! just my thoughts on it.... 2 Link to post
socks 32,253
You are not taking them out of their beds and making them stand still in the freezing cold are you ... They are going out to work constantly moving keeping themselves warm ......... 1 Link to post
bracken boy 584
Agreed in parts on both sides but i still think it not a bad thing.. Link to post
paulus 26
draft and damp are far more of an issue than the air temperature, Link to post

albert64 1,882
i must be a soft b/stard aswell then, my dogs live in after a piece of shit tryed to nick him i've been out with lads that have pulled their faces cos when we get back to the motor my dog gets a rub down with a towel and his feet cleaned and checked and if its been a realy bad day/night he'll get a jacket put on him for the journey home then when he gets home he'll get a 1lb of warm lamb breast i'k a great believer in giving the dog a massage/rub with a towel before and after working them 2 Link to post
Sirius 1,391
There is nothing soft in looking after your dogs as best you can IMO Mine have their own room with hot and cold running water, heating, microwave, xbox and sky TV Edited March 12, 2014 by Sirius 3 Link to post
baw 4,360
I bring the dogs inside from time to time and I feel sorry for them. Panting that hard you'd think they were taking a heart attack. They adjust to their surroundings. As long as the kennels draught and damp free as said with a comfy bed, they're in their element. Honestly, a heat lamp on the cold nights pmsl. Link to post
Sirius 1,391
Lol Its them having Dominos Pizza on speed dial that does my head it  Link to post

As said he did have a heat lamp but pulled it down lol only my other dog got one now, but I don't think he needs it he got good thick coat on him, hi just give plenty of food +bit more like last night when I had him out .If not working still give plenty of food with warm gravy over meal, and he looks great fit healthy Link to post
