West Mids Hob Vasectomy

Any body in the west midlands recommend a vet for a hob vasectomy, had a ring around, but some of the prices were scandalous compared to some of the prices i've seen on here.

i don't know the prices you have but in Telford the cheapest is £62.40 and this vet specializes in exotic vets

When was the last time anyone got one done? Seems much more expensive down south. My neighbour said he got one done about 3 year ago for around £65 from pets at home. I just got stung £110 from the same place, and they wanted another £ to send the removed bits of tubes off to get tested to check it was actually the vas deferens, and not just a bit of blood vessel.. I told them I`d let him heal and check the cheaper, natural route..

I haven't had one done for years but the last time I did it was through my local ferret rescue. They had a deal with a vet they used who gave them a special price on vasectomies and castrations. Can't remember how much I saved going that way rather than direct to the vet, but it was a big difference - about 30-40% discount if I remember rightly. Maybe worth tracking down any rescue organisations in your area and seeing if they have a similar deal?

Mine was last year couldn't beleave the differance in prices in my area. Quotes round my way ranged from £110 and £55

The Mrs mate is a vet nurse and her surgery quoted me £270 first off, hence snapping the vets hand off for £110 at pets at home.
