Nathan1991 25
Good afternoon people, After spending weeks on the restoration of my hw35s I have began to zero my scopes only to find that there is major problems with accuracy. There also seems to be way way much recoil! So much so that the hinge pin starts to loosen up. If I was to cut a few coils off the spring could that reduce recoil, I know there was a lot of preload when getting it back in. If this won't work can anyone suggest something that might cure it. Thanks guys and ATB Nathan. Quote Link to post
risingfriend 1,042
I would firstly get it over the chrono to check what power its putting out also check for dieseling mate...........then the usual pellet testing to see what suits your barrel etc. Quote Link to post
Nathan1991 25
Thanks for you reply mate, I have had it over the chrono and ATM it's sitting at 10.2 there is however deiseling do you think this is due to over greasing? 1 Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
Probably too much grease. Dont lube your pellets either that can cause it. Clean the barrel aswel. Id suggest strip it down degrease everything and then use only a very very light coat of grease only on the piston mainspring and trigger sears. For a good guide to re greasing watch Geordiehunters tv 3 part video of tuning a hw97kt . I found this very helpful 1 Quote Link to post
