Outlaw Pete 2,224
Does nature stay the same colour all year round in Ireland then Pete? As it happens? In part; Yes. We have these vast, quite unnatural, swathes of sitka spruce. The shit doesn't change an iota. Week on week. Year on year. Mile on mile. Then there's the ivy. Get that and ye've got it. Full stop. Hedge banks are what they are, of course. Probably all over. The meadows they surround are closer to the 'one colour suits all' green ~ a compromise, I imagine, between the lighter, winter greens and the darkening spring growth. " Rough Upland Pasture " though, Matters! There's Cammo Challenge Porn! Have you got daily access to juncus rush? F**king stuff's absolute murder! Each stem has at least a few tones of colours in its length. And most stems are different from those coming even from the same clump. I just can't even Begin to touch this shit. I tried, once. God knows I tried. Spent f**king Weeks running back and forth to town. Gathering up new loads of colour cards. Trying to get any where near the gradients of colour shown in even a single stem. Only thing that taught me was that; If that shit gave me a stress induced cardiac? They'd never spot me, from a helicopter, laying face down amongst the juncus, with all my flek tarn on But, recreating a thin, upright 'flek tarn' ~ sort of ' \\|// ' in vertically graduated tones? It's got me beat . And, yes; That shit changes something terrible, throughout the year. The Ultimate Cammo Challenge Quote Link to post
