Ferrets And Ticks

I have had ferrets since I was a little boy and always had to pick the odd tick out but I recently came back rom a place were I have permission and went down to my good bitch and she was smothered from head to toe in ticks . Is there something I can use to prevent them or kill them , sorry if I sound stupid but it's never ben a problem for me in 20 years .

Sounds like a tick bomb; really tiny ticks? I posted a thread recently with literally hundreds of tiny ticks over. I use fipronil (frontline) every month and ivermectin 2 weeks later every month

I had a tick explosion last summer after feeding a fresh crow to my ferrets. I freeze them now to be certain.
