old paper cartridge

i got this paper cartridge from a mate.it's a eley grand prix no7 -12g it's say smokeless,manufactured under

licence by irish metal industries on the side of it.also eley kynoch,do anybody know anything about it,thanks sounder

Interesting that, I never knew Eley licenced cartridge making in Ireland. Irish Metal Industries are still in Dublin, but whether they'd have any information or not I don't know.

All i know is i was given 3 boxes of them and they worked well roost shooting crows and rooks

I think all the Eley stuff had IMI for Imperial Metal Industries(I have always thought) on it. If yours says Irish MI and Kynoch,it may be a rare one.

I have some info somewhere,but I think it's years since Kynoch went on any cartridges. Save it sounder, it may be of interest to a collector.
